It’s been fair to say I’ve been through a lot with Honeybunch, but with a new energy and another ‘normal’ person in my business circle (aka Mavis) we really are feeling like a formidable team!
Our first international shopping trip happens early February and although we have had only one punter, we know that it’s going to be the greatest trip! We are slowly realising that booking on Chinese New Year has blown the budget... but armed with our new toothpaste, meetings with new customers and a familiar city with a free happy hour, we are confident that ‘we’ve got this’!
I have had a bunch of highs and lows ... highs win of course, or I wouldn’t still be doing it ...
Lows for me on the Honeybunch landscape has most defiantly been social media and key board warriors, change is never easy but standing strong and doing things with 23000 followers judging and assuming every thing is actually draining, and sadly it’s not getting any better! Ironically the people who constantly cause issues have never purchased off us, or have possibly purchased something in the past that we have literally given away, and doesn’t want the change.
Highs have been those awesome customers who have become our friends, who understand that art, skill and talent isn’t free and support change and progress and respect us as people and value is as a business, these people are awesome and I’m truely grateful for the nice words, full price orders and positive engagement.
Honeybunch in 2014 was originally made for the Hong Kong market, and stragely enough we are NZ proud as we find ourselves full circle. It was also inspired by beautiful things, details, art, talent and looking after your Honeybunch ... so that too will never change as we continue on as two Honeys who love a bunch of cool stuff!
